Global identity fraud has more than doubled in three years

As attacks and data breaches become more advanced, so should our defences. IDCentriq uses proprietary palm vein technology to bind users with an encrypted key pair and chain of custody to prevent tampering and spoofing.

Our identity and payment solutions can be integrated into existing infrastructure and are both low maintenance and user-friendly.

How IDCentriq Works

Arrow indicating steps of IDCentric fraud-proof funcionality
Onboarding
Secure and frictionless mobile onboarding uses government-issued documents and passive liveliness detection to verify and onboard users in less than 2 minutes. Authenticated users then perform palm vein enrollment at their nearest terminal.

Enrollment
Two infrared images of the user’s palm veins are captured and immediately encrypted into a biometric template, which is stored in the IDCentriq Identity Hub. The template does not store any sensitive biometric data.

Scan & Authenticate
When prompted, a user's palm will be scanned and authenticated with the corresponding template stored in the IDCentriq Identity Hub. Authentication takes less than a second and has a false acceptance rate of less than 1 in 100 million.

Questions?Answers

Is authentication only possible in person?

Authentication is possible both in person and on mobile. IDCentriq binds each user’s biometrics with a unique private key pair, which can then be used to digitally sign any authorized transaction.

Can palm vein biometrics be compromised or copied?

No. At enrollment, the infrared image of your palm veins is immediately encrypted into an “Enrollment biometric template” to prevent data leakage. During use, your hand is scanned and immediately converted into an “Identification biometric template”, which is never stored. These two templates can only be matched using our proprietary algorithm, and the raw images are inaccessible by design.

Do cards have to be issued after enrollment?

No. IDCentriq uses proprietary palm vein biometrics to bind users to an invisible key which can then be scanned in person using their hand, or used digitally via the IDCentriq app or SDK.

Will authentication work if a user damages their hand or loses a finger?

Yes. Injuries like scratches, scars, or even loss of fingers do not impact capture and identification. The biometrics are based on the veins within the palm of your hand.

How is my data used?

Transparency and trust are the two most important pillars of our business. We ensure that each and every user has the power to decide how their data is used.

How do you prevent the IDCentriq app from being compromised?

Every user's app features full mobile threat detection. This means that IDCentriq protects users against cyber threats in real time by constantly scanning for malware or exploits on the device.
